After School Care
The growth and development of a child doesn’t stop when the bell rings and the Y creates a space to continue learning without limits! We see the spirit, mind, and body as essential parts of a person and we intentionally support the development of children in our After School Program. Through homework time, arts & crafts and active age group games we seek to meaningfully engage children in all areas of development. We strive to be an electronic free zone! We ask that kids keep their phones away and in their bookbag at all times. If they need to check it then an adult needs to be notified
PROGRAM INFORMATION
With a focus on safety, health, social & emotional learning as well as academic enrichment, programmatic options include: Homework Assistance – Healthy Snack- Age Oriented Group-Games, Physical Activity, STEM, and so much more!

Kings Mountain Family YMCA Year Round Care
If your family utilizes our YMCA childcare options, including afterschool care, summer camp, and schools out days, this option offers the best rate for your childcare needs. Monthly payments begin in August 2024 and continue through July 2025, covering all your childcare needs at a rate that is spread out to ensure comprehensive care for your child. Registration closes at the end of August, so make sure to sign up in time to get the best deal for year-round care.
