PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTERING!!!

General Information:

• Registration opens on Wednesday, December 17^th, 2025
  • Early bird registration from 12/17/25 to 1/4/26
  • On-time registration from 1/5/26 to 3/8/26
  • Late registration from 3/9/26 to 3/15/26
  • ALL REGISTRATION ENDS MARCH 15TH, 2026
• Cost:
  • Early bird: $36.00 for members and $63.00 for non-members
  • On time: $40.00 for members and $70.00 for non-members
  • Late: $50.00 for members and $80.00 for non-members
• We will have a parent meeting on March 10th, 2026, on the field DURING YOUR CHILD’S SKILLS NIGHT.
  • If your child does not have a skills night, your parent meeting will be on March 10th at 5:30 PM. 3-4 Little Kicks does not need to attend this meeting.
• Coaches meeting: Thursday, March 5^th @ 6:00 PM in person at the Dover YMCA board room.

Soccer:

• Games/practices will be on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings/afternoons.

Skills Nights

• 6U: There is no skills night for 6U soccer.
• 8U: March 10th at 5:30 pm
• 10U: March 10th at 6:15 pm
• 13U: March 10th at 6:15 pm

All skills nights will be located at the Dover YMCA soccer fields.

Practices:

• Practices will start the week of March 16th, 2026.
• Practices will be on weekday evenings and in the preseason there may be some Saturday practices.
  • For soccer your practice will be on a weekday evening starting at 5:30 PM, 6:15 PM, or 7:00 PM. Preseason Saturday practices will be available for coaches by request!
  • We allow our volunteer coaches to pick their practice days and times to best fit their schedule since they are giving their time to volunteer for our community.
    • Please be available for any of the potential days and times listed above.
  • An initial message about practice will come sometime after your child’s skills night or (if your child does not have a skills night or misses skills night) after March 13th, 2026.
  • Depending on the group you registered for: Little Kicks will have sessions on Tuesdays at 5:00 PM or Thursdays at 5:00 PM at the Dover YMCA.

Games:

• IF YOU WILL HAVE CONSISTENT CONFLICTS WITH THE DATES/DAYS PROVIDED BELOW, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE DATES/DAYS ARE FINAL AND WILL NOT BE CHANGED UNLESS UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES ARISE.
• Games will begin the week of April 13th and end by June 6th 2026
• Games will be on weekday evenings or Saturday mornings/afternoons.
  • For soccer: games on weekday evenings will begin between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM and games on Saturdays will begin between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
  • Soccer may interleague with Ruby and Kings Mountain YMCA’s
    • This will involve traveling to the Kings Mountain or Ruby YMCAs for soccer games.
• Teams will play an eight-game season.
• There will be no playoffs or bowl games for any age group.

Participant Requests:

• NOT ALL REQUESTS WILL BE MET AND WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT ANY REQUEST WILL BE MET.
• We do accept requests for specific teams or coaches; however, we ask that any request be made out of necessity (transportation, family, work schedule, etc.)
  • Please do not request specific coaches or players out of preference.
  • We desire for our sports program to build a community, and this involves our participants and parents be able to meet new people and create new bonds.
• Please only request a teammate or coach if you absolutely need it.
• With this in mind, NOT ALL REQUESTS WILL BE MET AND WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT ANY REQUEST WILL BE MET.

Y-Gametime:

• For all game scheduling we will be using the Y-Gametime
  • Link to Dover’s Y-Gametime page: https://ygametime.com/branch/dover/sports/
• We ask that all parents and coaches check Y-Gametime on a regular basis to see any updates to the schedule.
  • We aim to communicate all these updates to coaches and parents; however, every individual is responsible for staying up to date with their game schedule and any changes that may happen.

• You will most likely receive text messages from coaches.
• You will certainly receive emails from staff about updates and important information!
  • So please ensure your email and phone number are current and up to date!

Additional Information: 

• Pregame prayer/devotional
  • Could take 5-10 minutes
  • Could make games go a few minutes later
  • Aim is to have teams done with warmups five minutes earlier
  • Please try to show up about 30 minutes prior to games
